"A New Language of Objective Reality"
Now, it's time to introduce you to some new terms and words, and discuss their objective meaning for our Alchemical purposes, in preparation for whole new concepts that I shall be bringing to your attention. Really the first of those new concepts is the above title, though firstly the "idea" of an objective language may not be new to you, and secondly this language of which I speak is far from being new, in the sense that it has already existed for aeons, and been passed down, through various schools of religious and philosophical thought, often in watered down form unfortunately, from generation to generation. I have fortuitously woken up in time to be able to define and pass on much of this language to you. I have already given you terms such as "Deputy Steward", "magnetic centre", the system of numbering the different states of consciousness, and so on, and told you a little about them, now I am going to begin to both elaborate on those and introduce more, so that in due course you will begin to see that there is an objective language already existing in which it is possible for men to understand each other... in the objective sense that is. I know for example that you would probably argue that men do more or less understand each other, most of the time, at least on some things, otherwise life would be intolerable, and so on. I would only say, this is no understanding in the real sense. I would also argue that in the objective sense, life such as we are living it is not tolerable! Objective understanding is possible but only if we awake and become men No 4. ;-)
Ok let's turn our attention to "magnetic centre", what is it, and how does it develop?
First though we will have to examine the meaning of A, B, and C influences that surround us, and the role they play in whether or not we develop magnetic centre. Now first we can divide these categories into influence A, and, B and C influence together, because A influences are very easy to recognise, but B and C influences are in any case related to each other whereas they are not related to A influences. It will become clear in a moment. We have talked about ordinary men (who are asleep), men 123.... and the ordinary mundane world in which we live, such as ordinary men experience it, anyway, a world without God essentially, because the sleepers are not conscious of Him. Well it is from within this world and from out of the minds of such ordinary men that come A influences. They are all the ordinary little influences that are around us all the time.. Every impression that comes from ordinary mind into your consciousness, from your grocery list to pornography, it's all influence A. However, not all influence A is necessarily bad, there are good, bad, and neutral influences A around us, and it is important to discern the negative A influences and reject them.
That's a brief understanding of the meaning of influence A for you, but what of B and C influences?. Well, let's define the purest of C influence to begin with because essentially C influence is direct contact with higher mind, a school of higher mind, or in it's purest form direct contact with our Creator who after all possesses the Highest Mind of all :-).. In my experience this direct contact comes via The Spirit, which is all around us and in us all the time, if we could but 'see' it, and in fact realise, "we are it". If we were awake to it! ? Anyway as I said earlier I think, the teacher's job is to make himself redundant, so if you are entirely awake to your'Self' and to the Holy Spirit, I have nothing to teach you, which would be cause for much rejoicing by me.. But meanwhile as I suspect most of you are asleep, and one or two of you will be pilgrims who have built up a certain magnetic centre, I could only 'hope' that one of you could be an Alchemist who has no further need of me. If this would be the case, I would like to hear from him / her with a view to starting a web ring of Alchemists' Dens ! (Editor's note, 14/05/02: Egg on my face! :-) it seems there is an Alchemists' web ring so I shall endeavour to plug Y'All into it as soon as I get back online.) Meanwhile one plods ever onward on the journey, and thanks God for one's many teachers both living and dead, who have helped deliver The Word into my heart... these men, and wombmen, who have lit beacons along the way, posted signs, for us lonely contemporary wanderers into the realms of the Great Unknown.. These can all be called Higher mind, or School influences if you like, and as such if they are received into the consciousness unadulterated then they are definately C influence.
So that's C influence.. What's the B influence all about? I hear you ask. Well the thing is you see, that there have been good men and women down through the aeons who have had some direct or indirect contact with God, or Higher Mind if you prefer, and down through the aeons they have thrown out ideas, words, phrases, sayings, concepts, even whole religions, into the world around them. Now as I said an "uncorrupted" idea that is patently originating from a higher state of consciousness can be considered for our purposes a C influence although in the Fourth Way generally, C influence is regarded only as C as long as it remains directly obtained from a school.. For you see the sad fact is a thing gets corrupted by this world as soon as it is put into circulation, and therefore genuine C influence rapidly degenerates to B influence.. That's not to say B influence is bad, on the contrary, it only remains B influence for as long as it remains objectively useful, and if it can be recognised as useful to higher consciousness, it can certainly be regarded as B influence. Much good art could be justifiably regarded as B influence, whereas much of the perverted trash that passes for art nowadays could be regarded as "Negative A influence" .. The worst tragedy of all is when something that started out as genuine influence C, degenerates through a series of corruptions into the worst kind of A influences!
Ok, hopefully now you have a grasp on what I mean when I talk about the A, B, and C influences. Now, the thing about magnetic centre is that it is a certain something that develops within your consciousness, after you have been seeking out C influences for a time.. After a while you gather a certain weight of influence B / C that topples the balance in it's favour over the A influences.. They still affect you at this stage but not to the same degree, and dallying too long among the A influences causes pangs of conscience, a feeling that you are sinning against yourself.. You can be said to have developed Magnetic Centre. Once this is established in yourself for a time, what I have termed "Deputy Steward" will come along, and guide you into a real awakening. Deputy Steward is not your"Self", your real "Self" but he is certainly not your ego, he is a product of your Higher Self.. He is as the name suggests .. Deputy Steward, and I can safely tell you now, that once he is in charge - you may not even know it at the time - but once he takes charge you are home and hosed as far as waking up is concerned, even if as I did, you had struggled for a certain awakening that you could taste for fifteen years, but in the end gave up on the idea and tried to be ordinary for five years or more.. D.S still did his job in the background, in my unconscious, and he caused me to awake. And don't expect it to be a particularly pleasant experience either, it's no picnic, especially at first.. No, there come certain responsibilities with being a man No 4, but it would not be appropriate to discuss that at this stage. Now I shall read through what I have written and ask myself, where to now, once I am satisfied you all have a good grasp of your ABCs as well as your 123s, and that you know what is meant by magnetic centre and deputy steward. Bravo.
Right, that seems straightforward enough then, so if I was to meet you in a pub and say, " has Deputy Steward taken charge yet then?, or is your magnetic centre still wobbling on it's axis under the pull of influences A? " you would have a very good idea of what I was talking about, whereas it would be safe to assume the bloke on the next bar stool along wouldn't have a clue.. Ok, well nay matter, when two people can understand each other, it is possible three and more can share the same understanding, but for now we won't worry about the other bloke.. we can always talk to him later. Right now we have got a certain understanding. Your consciousness and mine have got to grips with the same idea and shared the same understanding of it.. and that's just one idea, broadly speaking. Do you see how it is possible to have an objective language when words and concepts have an "agreed value" that all concerned understand in the same way.. Well it's a massive subject, but we have made a beginning at least.
Now let us turn to our toolkit once more, and see if we can't upgrade it a little in our quest to escape... Let's talk about....
" The Idea of School "
The idea of school in the context of what we are discussing here, can be taken a number of ways, so I am going to set out and define a few ideas about that which will be relevant to us, and our struggle to escape from this prison of sleep.. I think I already said that we need an escape team if we are to awake... or in our case perhaps a number of escape teams! Anyway for our purpose let us define school as a group of people who are already, or who constitute the basis for, an escape team.. A school. A school of Higher Learning, where we learn to take the ultimate journey. Now there are a number of reasons why school is necessary, and there have been a number of schools, and a number of different forms of schools in our world over the millenia, but as I said before, schools cannot exist (in the physical sense.. as in a building you can go to) during times of considerable abnormality, and we do indeed live in times of exceptional abnormality... So we know we can't rent a building somewhere and invite people to consciousness expansion classes, and expect any degree of success. No there are not sufficient numbers of 'normal' people passing by to even half fill the class in a month of sundays. You see the Higher knowledge to which I allude, cannot be taught to people who have not already at least a certain understanding of themselves and a certain understanding of one or two objective realities.. this has nothing to do with intellect, or intelligence as such, but is more what you might call common sense though it be painfully rare rather than common these days.. It has to do with a certain practical understanding of life and an ability to survive under natural conditions.. The Russians have a word for it, I think it is spelled "Obivatyl" and it's meaning is essentially.. one who makes his own living, a land dweller, peasant, one who lives by his own efforts and so on.. This is why schools cannot exist in the world in that sense today, because there are so precious few obivatyls left.. and one must first rise to at least this level of 'consciousness' before one can go to school, in the sense that we are defining school here.
Ok.. we don't have a school, and we don't expect to start one, in the traditional sense of such a school, but a school of another form may be possible so I intend now to introduce you to a number of school concepts that you can put in your toolkit and use in your own escape group / grouplet... Of course in objective reality there is only the one group... The Human Family... but we can't wake them all up, so we are of necessity, groups and grouplets, and groups within groups and so on, until we all become conscious, which is of course our destiny anyway, which is why I implore you to get on with the job now, because those who wait for the Lord to come before waking up, will then find it an incredibly painful experience. The demarcation lines are everywhere becoming clearer.. There is choice, between good and evil, freedom and slavery, sleep or consciousness.. Battle lines are being drawn, and you will inevitably be dragged into the Final Conflict on the one side or the other, which is why it is so important to wake up now and smell the coffee.. See what is happening around us in our World! I'll use the English talent for understatement that I grew up with, and say it is cause for concern! Do not get dragged into the conflict unconscious, because you will probably end up on the wrong side! Indeed there is no "right side" in a conflict. And that is "The Terror of The Situation" .. as I think I already mentioned! :-) But then if you have persisted this far through my missives you have probably already discerned a certain smell / flavour, about them.... Which mainly of course is to WAKE bloody UP! :-) :-)
Alright, no hanging around now, I'm going to chuck more new stuff at you right now, concerning your school / escape group. Now one thing is very important ... well lots of things are important actually :-), but the first important thing to understand about your school / esacape group (you do want to escape don't you?) is that there must be no idle chit chat. Members of the group will have to focus on school work, and not discuss any of it outside the group. There are a number of reasons for this which we will discuss more later, but now we will move on to an important principle for our success that we must learn. Success in this venture as we have already said, involves having a group, an escape team. Well it is necessary to follow certain principles to the letter if this escape team is to succeed.. That is if you are planning on using my method anyway, if you have another one that you prefer or wish to invent your own?. well that is your prerogative, but unless you are Awake, you will not be able to co-ordinate an escape team..." and " if you are "Awake" I should certainly like to hear from you. So.. the first rule of school work then, is that one works simultaneously on three lines. Not that one does the three lines of work simultaneously, although sometimes this will be possible, but one has a programme of work, running on three separate lines. This is entirely and absolutely in accordance, with the Universal, and indeed Most Holy Law of "Three Forces"... Later when we study objective reality in the macrocosm.. That which exists outside of ourselves, as opposed to the inner reality we are currently working on, we will go into this Law in more depth, and perhaps even make so bold as to mention the "Holy Trinity" which is the expression of the 3 in 1 rule, or the "Law of Three Forces".. (it could never mean three Gods, though many folk get their knickers in a twist over this!) but for now I tell you that the first rule of success for your escape group, is that you work in accordance with school principles, the first and most important of which is the rule of "Work On Three Lines" And those three lines are as follows...
1. " Work on Oneself " (one's "self" :-)) This is obvious really and we have already begun a discussion of this, and certainly until we have achieved a certain understanding with ourselves, or more accurately, until we have a well developed magnetic centre we will be able to do little meaningful work on the other two lines. Nonetheless now is the time to begin learning about them because they will become meaningful once you have a team together... And they are....
2. " Work with Others " This needn't be others within the group, though it could be. I would suggest that this line could be meaningful even before you have a fully formed team, because we all have Kharma to deal with. As sleepers we are always offending somebody, so I would suggest one of the first preparations for awakening in this regard ought to be, a settling of matters between yourself and those you have offended. Make some amends.. Be careful, and try not to rush apologising to people in your sleep, you could end up seeing things differently when you are Awake! :-)... Ist line of work comes first... In the moments when you have more control over yourself, try to settle some scores, make amends where genuine needs be. I would suggest this is valuable second line work that you can begin once you have made progress on line 1.
3. " Work for The School " This is the last line of work you will be able to commence, and in fact when actual schools with classrooms existed, in times of greater stability gone by, it was taught first of all, that the students responsibility as far as third line work is concerned is that they do none. Or at any rate to do absolutely nothing more than asked, and there were very good reasons for that too, but for now and for our purposes, third line work means that work which is exclusively done for our own escape team. For the collective good of the team, so of necessity it will come last, and our first responsibility on this line will be to look and to learn and to learn to keep silent about it. Idle talk costs lives, and "Loose Lips Sink Ships" :-) :-)
Alright this chapter seems to have grown quite large in comparison to early ones, and I think a second one based around the objective language may be necessary next.. Unless I come up with something more brilliant in the meantime that is. But for now, I think I have another chapter I can post, and perhaps an appropriate time to have a day or two's rest and say.. " I would now be happy to take your questions ladies and gentlemen "
