JaMeS HaRcOmBe - RiP...

27th August 2007

The world will be a darker place without your smile to brighten it.

After a valiant fight with cancer, James passed away in August last year. His positivity, kind heart, pragmatism and sometimes silliness were what made him such a special person. He saw the world with clear eyes and greeted each day with a grin. He made sense when others did not. He dealt honestly and graciously with all that came before him and knew every punch line in 'Red Dwarf'. He was a lover, a fighter, a thinker, a joker, a HaRdCoRe raver through & through...(I don't know how many front rows of events I saw him 'avin it large at) and he was our very good friend. James, Rousa & I shared a very special trinity of vinyl addiction and the constant good-natured competition to see who could track down that particular rare tune was something that only those who have experienced the 'thrill of the hunt' can appreciate. He was larger than life and will live forever in our hearts.

The dancefloor just got a whole lot emptier...Rave on my son...HaRdCoRe You KnoW The ScOre!!

Just a little tribute for him from Rowan & Hutcho ... our thoughts & love to his family & Claire.

There was a gathering to mark his passing at The Moon & Six from 1pm on Wednesday 27.8.08 - thanks so much to all those who popped down for 1 quick drink (or many along with some of us!) ...We also have flyers for the special Memorial Barbeque on Sun 26.10.08 - see you there.

A little message to the powers that be on stopping fun.

"The prestige of the government has undoubtedly been lowered considerably by the prohibition laws. Nothing is more destructive of respect for the government and the law of the land than passing laws which cannot be enforced."
- Albert Einstein, physicist, philosopher, Nobel Laureate. 1879-1955.
