21st February, 1999 - Mel B has given birth
to a baby girl called Phoenix Chi.
Mel B (23 years old) went into London's
Portland Hospital where she gave birth to Phoenix who weighed 2.4kg. Her husband
Jimmy Gulzar was by her side. When the other band members, Mel C, Emma Bunton and
Victoria Adams (who is also pregnant and due to give birth next week) heard the news they
all rushed to the hospital to be by Mel B's side.
Mel and Jimmy had finished a spicy Indian
curry at a restaurant near their home when the contractions started. As the baby
wasn't due for nearly another month, Mel thought she just had an upset stomach but then
realised she was having contractions and the baby was on the way!

The new Spice Girls...without Geri

This is the Official Press Statement
from Geri when she left The Spice Girls
This message is for the fans. Sadly, I would
like to confirm that I have left the Spice Girls. This is because of differences between
us. I'm sure the group will continue to be successful and I wish them all the best. I have
no immediate plans. I wish to apologise to all the fans and to thank them and everyone
who's been there.
Lots of love
Geri.
P.S I'll be back.

Whatever mood you're in, Girl Power is all about
knowing how to get the best out of it. It's really a question of attitude...
This is what the girls do when
they are in different moods...
Angry
- Turn your anger around and put it into something constructive. If you're feeling really
aggressive, go to one of those mad kickboxing classes or write an angry song, like Alanis
Morissette.
Shy - If you're
in a situation where you're not talking and other people are, don't worry. If you're not
comfortable to talk, just be comfortable to listen - and agree!
Lonely - If
you're down and feeling lonely, Girl Power should give you the kick up the bum to go out
and do something about it.
Back
to Top

Bored - Go to
bed!
Happy - When
you're happy, BE happy!
Back
to Top

Bored - Pamper
yourself...
Angry - Go out
and scream on the dance floor - let it out!
Shy - Sit back
and observe the situation, but don't be like a wallflower, shrinking against the wall.
Just relax and check out the situation.
Lonely - Think
to yourself, I love you!
Back
to Top

Angry - Make a
big fat cake and eat it!
Happy - Happy
memories get you through the bad times, so enjoy every minute!
Shy - You don't
have to be loud to have Girl Power. It's fine to be shy. It's quite sweet, really.

Bored - I would
say that boredom is the most hideous mood to be in. I hate it. It's often a sign of
outgrowing something, which means it's time to find a new challenge. So if you're stuck in
a situation, you need to find further depths and angles to it.
Shy - You don't
have to be extroverted to have Girl Power. It's what's inside that counts. Being shy
doesn't necessarily mean that you're underconfident.
