Forge and Tor Mainstream
Forge Books is an imprint of Tom Doherty Associates, and publishes fiction and
nonfiction in a wide variety of genres and categories. Its sister imprint Tor Books, while
famous for its science fiction and fantasy, also
publishes books in other genres. This web page covers the Forge publishing program
and those Tor books outside the science fiction and fantasy list.

SCIENCE FICTION AND FANTASY - PUBLISHERS

Avon/Eos
Avon Books no longer accept unsolicited manuscripts. They do accept query
letters (one to two pages describing your book and including, if applicable, an outline or
a writing sample.
Baen Books
Baen publish only science fiction and fantasy.
Query letters are not necessary, they prefer complete manuscripts accompanied by a
synopsis.

Del Rey
Del Rey Books no longer accept unsolicited
manuscripts for publication however they do accept manuscripts that come in through
reputable agents.
