PopcornI adore watching movies. There's nothing quite like curling up in front of the TV, running the sound through the stereo and munching on homemade popcorn, dripping with melted butter.

Now, I'm not saying that it can in any way compare to watching a movie at the cinema but to be honest it has to be a pretty special movie for me to go to the trouble of sitting with a bunch of people, all munching away, crunching their packets of chips, and endlessly asking the person next to them what did he say? What does that mean?....not to mention those people who sit beside you and decide it's their God given right to hog the handrest...get my drift. There are many movies that a video cannot do justice to, a prime example being "True Lies" and all those movies with massive special effects that can only be appreciated on the big screen. Having said that, there are many movies that I have watched at the cinema, only to get out on video at a later date and find that I've enjoyed it better the second time around.

While writing my review of 12 Monkeys and then Seven Years in Tibet, I realised just what an outstanding actor Brad Pitt was. This got me to thinking that a lot of the movies I would class as my favourites also have actors and/or directors in common.  I will, as time permits, add actor biographies, movie scripts,  movie and television information etc.
