Changing pages will stop the download but you can switch to another windows programs, add this file to your favourites to view offline, or read on while waiting.

This file has been compressed to enable web viewing.  Computer based video images are huge files.  Compression reduces the size of the file but also its quality.  Expand the snapshots on the previous page to see the full potential of our video quality or ask for a demo CD.

There are ways to reduce the size of video files but these often result in reduced compatibility.  Please contact us if you cant view the file.

Avi files use standard Windows 95/98/NT drivers that are inherently installed on most new machines and are freeware included with our CD's.  If you are having trouble viewing this page you may need to update your version of Windows Media Player.  This is a free download

Our basic unit has a 150m depth capability, this enables the unit to be light and portable with a depth capability that covers over 90% of the bores in Western Australia.  We can also provide video in deeper bores.   Our basic unit provides excellent images in monitoring bores down to 50mm (2") in diameter and also in large diameter production bores.  Expand the snap shots on the previous page to view the video quality in a range of bores.

We have tailored this unit to be portable and it runs off any 12v car battery (no genset required).  It is easily air freighted with it's operator (2 items of excess baggage) so that we can fly to site and operate the unit using a standard vehicle.

There are several small video units available but few have the ability to display logos and digital comments or even record depth on the screen.  Larger units do have depth encoding and comments but are generally bulky and difficult to transport.  Our unit is cheaply portable, has digital depth and comments field on the screen and we can add logos, comments etc with ease.

The images below display our company logo but clients logos can easily be added to both video and still images.  We can also edit, add logos and comments or take snapshots of existing video footage.  Video on VHS tape is often poorly accessible, we can archive them on CD, which not only makes them available on your desktop computer but also allows you to quickly browse the video using the slide bar of the Windows Media Player.  This removes the tedious task of fast forwarding or rewinding to find the depth of interest.

The unit's portability is proving useful in remote locations such as aboriginal communities.  An image from a community bore (previous page) shows a 155 mm bore screened with 4 mm aperture longitudinal slots that appear to have been cut using a circular disk saw. This bore was pumping excessive volumes of sand and destroying pumps.  The video's calliper was run in the bore and a sleeving program designed at a significantly lower cost than redrilling.

We are providing images and video footage to clients following drilling of production bores to prove the bores construction and integrity.  This is not only a useful QA tool but removes liability from contractors and supervisors for damage caused by subsequent pump installation or other activities.

The ability to operate in small diameter bores enables audits of monitoring bores to verify slotted intervals and bore integrity.  Items lost in bores can become contamination sources as they breakdown over time.  Blockages can affect what interval of the aquifer is sampled, which may lead to and spurious monitoring and erroneous results.

We can supply the video recordings in a variety of formats to suit our clients needs.  Standard VHS tapes are bulky but can be viewed in most households and require little technical expertise.  The snapshots are a very useful in reports as they are easily printable and take up little computer memory so they can be stored or e-mailed.  Digital video files *.avi enable true video on the computer but take up large amounts of memory and are therefore provided on CD.  The advantage of *.avi files is that they can be viewed on most PC's without requiring setting up of VCR's etc. The *.avi files use standard Windows 95/98/NT drivers that are inherently installed on most new machines and are included on the CD's we provide or can be download free off the Internet (see above).

Our fees for the unit depend on the its use and location.  Local bores start form as little as $395 or $750 per day but please contact us for pricing, further information or a demonstration.
